A Botanical Inspired Wedding

Chloé, who's studying ceramics in the Royal College of Art married Dan, a civil servant, and Infantry Officer within the Army Reserves, on 21 August around the Isle of Wight. Their Church of England ceremony was led by Chloé's dad within the beautiful Bonchurch Parish Church having a country house reception afterward at St Lawrence, overlooking the bay by which Dan proposed.

The morning from the wedding saw the bride-to-be and bridesmaids gathering foliage and spending time around the overcast beach. I love these photographs captured through the super-talented and her husband Mitch. The team also captured your day on film.

"Grace and Mitch were wonderful and we were amazed by their photos and film. They captured the essence of the day and it is joy perfectly. It was so special to possess them there around – they made your day so smooth and excellent! I love their style and portrayal in our day."

Chloé wore a pure white, flowing gown. Its strappy bodice and open day set an ideal relaxed, beachy vibe having a timelessness and classic beauty originating from its full and flowing skirt.

"I wanted a soft falling skirt and quite simple backless dress as I possess a fairly small frame."

The bridesmaid dresses matched the bride-to-be's pure white gown in A-line midi dresses. There was an ideal canvas for her hand-tied bunches of fresh foliage, eucalyptus, fennel, and sweet peas, collected through the bride around the morning from the wedding.

The bridesmaids' finishing touches were shoes and much more statement stone drop earrings. The bride and bridesmaids look flawless in these photographs.

As vicar, Chloé's dad continued to conduct the service which meant everything to the couple. Their rings were by local designer Sophie Honeybourne.

"We are generally Christians therefore the ceremony was special for all of us and I desired to create a romantic setting in the old church with friends and family with lots of candles and trailing plants. We wanted to make use of traditional vows because they are important to our faith."

"We didn't possess a theme, I just wanted it to become relaxed, botanical with aspects of the sea tied in. Neutral colors with a lot of plants."

The feast-style wedding breakfast was supplied by Bridget Wells. I love the tranquility and elegance of the stacked wedding cake.

"Dan and I were dating long-distance, often with 3 months between seeing each other. One evening Dan drove as much as see me like a surprise with tickets to determine Cara Dillon. This song was the final song she played your evening and one that we've paid attention to over time."

Having been recently a bridesmaid in a Scottish wedding, I know first-hand how fun and energetic a ceilidh could be. This band is made up of Chloé's friends from university – this type of lovely touch to end your day.

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Enjoy every moment of the preparation. It hopefully only happens once in your lifetime and it's this type of special duration of families and friends uniting."

"Things go wrong but accept them, be flexible, and remember in the end from the day you're marrying the one you love."
