A Botanical Inspired Wedding in Rural Suffolk

Let's meet our couple, Laura and Ollie. Laura is a Digital Marketing Team Leader and Ollie is a Social Worker. They celebrated their marriage around 8 July 2017, having a ceremony at, Wattisfield, then drinks at Ollie's parents' house along with a reception at an attractive and historic moated manor house in Stowmarket.

"I had kindly been gifted an attractive cocktail dress in the incredible, and despite not being quite suitable for the ceremony I knew it might be perfect for dancing the night time away…Knowing I had an attractive dress to alter into I decided I didn't wish to spend a fortune on my small dress for that ceremony – it had been more important the style is in line using what I had wanted to be!"

Jewelry was kept low, with simple gold diamond studs, which had been an engagement gift to Laura. Her perfume was English Pear and Freesia, by Jo Malone.

"Ollie and I met in school and were senior high school sweethearts. We were together throughout school and despite likely to separate universities and spending a few years in different countries we remained together throughout!"

"Ollie proposed in Paris – on the rainy July afternoon. We have been walking behind an elderly couple who have been holding hands tightly throughout."

"I am moved through the tenderness this couple shared and also the commitment to one another after what seemed to become a lifetime together. I loved too how this wasn't a clichéd spot, but was a distinctive spot to them. I was privileged that I reached share within the moment, albeit far away, with them…"

"Ollie proposed annually later within the same spot, three years to the day before we've got married. This time, however, it had been pouring with rain therefore the entire green-line promenade was empty, with just us, huddled underneath our umbrellas."

Laura was accompanied towards the church and on the aisle by her dad, along with a piece from Tchaikovsky's The Nutcracker was played around the church organ. The couple decided to say traditional vows one to the other and exchanged rings from jewelers, based within the beautiful Burlington Arcade in London.

We have a brilliant couple team to thank for these breathtaking, creative images of Laura and Ollie's day. There is such joy during these photographs, and also the duo cleverly wove within the couple's wish for any lush, botanical feel.

"We were hoping to find artistic photographers to assist bring our botanical-themed vision alive! We loved the photos."

The bridesmaids wore light and summery floral print dresses, along with shoes, also from FeelTimes.

"I wasn't worried about exactly what the girls wore so that they picked their very own jewelry to enhance their style and dresses."

The beautiful weathered brick and timber in the venue provided an attractive, rustic backdrop for Laura and Ollie’s botanical decor, with stationery, green glassware, and bottles full of wild summer blooms and verdant ferns.

"We have been bridesmaid dresses vases and bottles for months and I filled these using the blooms that Bridget delivered around the morning from the wedding – whilst lots of people don't wish to be busy that morning I thought it was therapeutic having that point to myself to set up the flowers!"

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"My main advice is always to not be worried about the things you feel you ought to have – it's your day! We didn't possess a cake or perhaps a DJ – it saved costs, however, the main reason was that we didn't need it!”

"Similarly I was both dreading the very first dance – therefore we avoided it! Your day, the right path. Your guests will embrace and they'll love much more than it is a true reflection of the individual as a couple."
