A Modern Bridal Editorial in Beautiful, Natural Coastal Surroundings

This continues to be my favorite summer in lots of years. I'm not fussed concerning the bit of rain we've had, there's been ample sunshine, and delightful, glorious beach days.

The beach is just one of my very favorite places to become and I consider myself extremely lucky to reside just 6 miles from one of the most beautiful beaches in the UK. I love the way the creative team behind these images has drawn inspiration from the beach to produce these incredibly sensuous and evocative images, which I also adore.

Vision/Concept

Inspired by the gentle, yet unpredictable movement created through the sea breeze, this shoot epitomizes the romance of the warm coastal wedding dresses. Whilst nature lies in the center of this concept, it's designed for the current, style-conscious bride adopting the fusion of elegance and wildness to evoke a feeling of luxury inside a laid-back setting.

Setting

Set within the undulating dunes of West Wittering beach, the essence of the shoot ended up being to explore the unpredictability of motion created through the breeze and the way the fabrics in our flowing gowns, and also the delicacy of the dried floral grasses reacted to with each gentle swirl. Blessed by having an unusually warm day, the intense sunlight cast artistic shadows over the sand and table.

Bridal Style

Our exotic bride was radiant within the summer sun as she danced over the dunes, wearing flowing skirts. The Inca crop, embellished with sequins, glittered within the bright sunlight because the soft layers of tulle in the skirt, caught blissfully within the breeze, creating a captivating cloud-like silhouette from the blue sky.

The lace crop with nude mesh lining, worn using the full-flowing skirt of individually gathered layers of nude and ivory tulle, was the best in coastal chic. The movement created through the skirt as our bride ran across the beach was mesmerizing because the delicate ivory chapel veil billowed just like a sail around her before softly settling to envelop her inside a romantic cloak.

The Indie dress, having a coral embroidered detail would be a fitting addition to the concept and offered a unique coastal style alternative for any modern boho bride. With loose sleeves and a fitted bodice with deep v-plunge and layers of soppy nude tulle, this gown put into the uniqueness in our shoot.

To complete the appearance, our bride carried a delicate, modern bouquet of Stipa Penata (feather grass), Phleum grass, bleached Ruscus, Cortaderia Pampas, sea lavender, quaking oats, and dried umbels, developed by Caroline from Gather and Bloom flowers and tied with hand-dyed silk ribbons, which gracefully wafted within the breeze.

Styling

Keeping true to the natural environment, I chose a subtle color pattern with coastal hues of blue and sand tones. Accents of gold introduced a little chic luxury for an otherwise informal aesthetic. The tablescape design mirrors the planet, with soft natural linens and informal displays of dried grasses. Modern cream color dinnerware by having an unglazed edge simply adorned with Laguras (bunny's tail), loosely entwined with silk ribbons, created a stylish, yet informal aesthetic, whilst modern brassy gold sweet plates, candlesticks, and silver and gold cutlery, added an indication of luxe.

In keeping using the concept inspired by the sea breeze, the candle flames couldn't compete using the relentless swirls of wind and remained elusive!
