The Bride Chose Her Ballgown at FeelTimes

"wedding dresses shopping was slightly not the same as what I had imagined, because we were in New York in 2020 without any hope of family or friends visiting for the short term."

"The first dress the consultant introduced was the gown I wound up buying. It was produced by FeelTimes and was precisely what I was after – an ageless and clean ball gown. And they did ask me, 'Do you say yes to the gown?'."

"I felt amazing in the gown and nothing else compared. I was initially worried the train would be a bit outrageous for a country marquee wedding however it bustled so easily and am comfortable I wound up wearing it through the night. I was nervous as the gown was huge for me however they did an incredible job to place me comfortable and the gown fitted me so perfectly at the time."

"As the gown, we so simple I loved getting the lace veil within the church and I've already had requests for friends to gain access to it."

"I wore pearl earrings that have been a present from my parents for my 18th birthday along with a simple bracelet which my bridesmaids gave me at the time."

Freddy selected her bridesmaids' deep navy gowns from FeelTimes, a brand name that we're so pleased to support on our FeelTimes Wedding Directory.

They met at Bristol University and planned their wedding during the period of the pandemic, having luckily chosen, in the off, the very first weekend after restrictions were lifted.

"We met right at the end of our time at university via a mutual friend, who had been the best man at the time. Fast forward 5 years and we got engaged whilst skiing down 'Le Face' in Val D’Isère in December 2019. I was raised in Easton, a little village outside Winchester. It has an attractive village church along with a great community therefore we always knew we'd love to obtain married there."

"As I was getting married inside a country village I wanted the marriage to be a relaxed but fun affair, using the décor to become timeless but traditional, countryside-inspired. I believe that helped us concentrate on what was important and never get too mounted on a big wedding, although we always had our fingers crossed."

The bride walked on the aisle together with her father like a string trio played Pachelbel's 'Canon in D'.

"Our village vicar officiated the ceremony. It was his second to the last wedding before he retired and he did an incredible job."

The couple exchanged rings and headed outside using their guests to sing the hymn 'Jerusalem', among their favorite moments of the day.

"There was honestly a lot of to choose from however it was probably standing away from church singing 'Jerusalem' (we weren't permitted to sing hymns within the church because of Covid) and also the sun being released."

Words of Wedded Wisdom

"Don't start likely too early. It becomes all-consuming and I'm glad we didn't start any earlier because it will fill all of your time."
