ÓRLA & MARTY: REAL BRIDE STORY

We met in 2011 when I is at school finishing off my A-levels and Marty is in his second year at university. We first got together in April, however, it had come to the October of the identical year being an official couple. Coincidentally Marty was studying in Liverpool and I started Liverpool to review that September unaware when I accepted the course that Marty had been in Liverpool at that time and the rest, as the saying goes, is history.

In 2017 we continued a Saturday and Sunday to Poland as a birthday gift when Marty proposed. I was completely unaware he planning to propose, it had been the biggest surprise. I always knew that people would get married, however, I didn't think it had been going to happen so quickly. I had always believed that I would choose my very own engagement ring, I love my diamond engagement ring, and understanding that Marty places the thought and energy into deciding on the ring makes me like it even more!

For the proposal Marty had helped me with a traditional scrapbook, which had detailed my way through our relationship; there were old airfare tickets, event tickets, train tickets, receipts for warm chocolate together with pictures of people in all the places that people had visited together. At the end of the scrapbook, it said until our next adventure… and I turned around there he was on a single knee attempting to propose.

I have always been with them in my head that I want something very princess-like with a lot of sparkles and heavily embellished. My style isn't traditional, simple & elegant, so I wanted something to reflect who I was. I knew precisely what I wanted so when I saw my dress around the railings it had been exactly what I wanted - an ideal dress! I knew it had been the one before I even used it on. She existed for brides with dress tips about what would suit them, and she or he had also chosen this dress for me not realizing that I had already fallen deeply in love with it!

When I walked into the bridal store, I saw the fabulous cape around the mannequin, and I knew I wanted the cape whatever the style of wedding dresses. The cape only agreed to be something so different, something which gave the princess feel and fitted in perfectly for the castle venue and winter wedding. So, once I had seen the gown, I knew I wanted both a fabulous cape and dress.

I fell deeply in love with my dress from the beginning, it had been my dress! It's true what individuals say about wearing a dress and just understanding that it is the main one for you.

As my dress was extremely detailed and heavily embellished and achieved the added feature from the cape, I needed to possess my accessories as easily as possible. I had a customized headpiece from Lori Muldoon, a beautifully-designed elegant piece whereby she had taken the type of beading within the dress but for the headpiece made the extension from the beading across my hair, she designed the earrings to complement. I also worse my mummy's bracelet as something borrowed.

The planning was exciting, and I knew precisely what we wanted for every stage from the wedding, we'd put a lot of thought into our planning. The bridesmaid's dresses were made by hand using a bright green velvet material. The boys had checked black tuxes to choose the green.

Our venue of Kilronan Castle was spectacular and couldn't have requested more. The wedding was greatly a reflection of who we're as individuals, from everything towards the music within the chapel as to the was served in the buffet. We greatly had the mentality that it had been our big day and we were going to possess the wedding we wanted. That is also the recommendation that I give to any future brides – it's your day after all.

The best bit from the day was sitting at the top table looking down around the 200 guests using the surreal feeling that every single body's here for us. It was great to possess two families' combined efforts to celebrate us spending the remainder of our lives together as a couple.

As for strategies for brides-to-be, I would say I loved reading bridal magazines, particularly the sections around the 'real brides' reflecting on the experiences, advice, and suppliers that they'd recommend.
