How have you met your fiance?

I was studying abroad in London for any semester my junior year attending college and Tom was among the eight boys I moved along within the co-ed dorms where I was staying!

Tell us concerning the proposal!

After a morning to be pampered and achieving high tea with Tom's sister, Hannah, Tom's brother Adam picked me up and drove me on the country lanes to possess "dinner in a manor house with Tom's family" . Adam pulled over halfway there to provide me an iPad with videos Tom had filmed of our first dates and special London date spots to reminisce about how exactly we first met.

We then reached the reallocation of Bodiam Castle, in which the "castle-folk" required up the surface of the hill towards the castle itself. After walking over the drawbridge within the moat, Tom was waiting within the sunlight within the middle of the castle. Tom proposed in the medieval castle in Kent, England, that was near where he was raised, along with a place which held cherished childhood memories. He presented the ring, which had my English Nana's diamond inside it, occur a 1920's art deco style setting, from Tom's friend's jewelers who also does the Queen's jewels, in the hometown of Royal Tunbridge Wells.

After celebrating with portions of champagne around the castle grounds, we took a personal boat on the river Rother with the English countryside towards the coastal capital of Scotland - Rye. We spent the nighttime at The Mermaid Inn, an 11th century Tudor bed and breakfast, and wandered the cobbled streets from the town the following day.

The next weekend, my loved ones unbeknownst in my experience who had flown over to the States, surprised me in the engagement drinks party with Tom's family and friends!

How have you chosen the place for your wedding? What type of venue had you been looking for?

I wanted a conventional Charleston house having a garden and Tom wanted to be around the water, so The Palmer House was perfect! For the chapel, we choose St. Luke’s Chapel because it was very intimate and reminded us of English churches.

I knew I wanted mix-match neutrals, and I wanted all of my bridesmaids to convey their personalities while still maintaining a cohesive look.

Who designed your wedding dress? Where have you got it?

My dress was created by feeltimes. It was so comfortable and I like it so much, I want to put it on again!

What was your preferred part from the day?

The whole day was truly amazing, but I believe my favorite part was as soon as we shared throughout the first dance.

What inspired you whenever you were planning your special day?

I wanted your day to encompass Southern and English traditions and to possess a sense of an English garden tea party, yet without too strong of the theme. I was heavily inspired by Kate Moss' wedding within the Cotswolds as captured in Vogue that was carefully curated but effortlessly elegant.

What advice have you got for other brides?

Enjoy the procedure as much as your day! I think so many women can get lost within the stresses however the planning process ought to be a positive experience. I loved spending time planning the facts with my mom. Also, remember the actual point from the day - this is as soon as where you start a new chapter in your life with the love. This especially resonated beside me after years of trips backward and forwards to England and all from the visa paperwork to become be together. Just plan wisely for that big day then let your worries go enjoy yourself and take it all in!
